I would like to once again offer my sincere congratulations to all of our students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Monday evening. It was a privilege for me to serve as the minister of the sacrament. While no Bishop or Abbot was available for the date of April 26, 2021, Bishop Malesic gave all the Priests of the Diocese the faculty to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation last year after he was installed as Bishop of Cleveland.
I would also like to thank all those who helped to prepare the newly confirmed for this sacrament. My thanks to their families, their sponsors, their teachers and catechists and, of course, our Religious Education staff. I would also like to thank all of you who have prayed for them throughout their journey to full initiation into the Church. May God bless them with an ever growing increase of faith, hope and love. I pray that they become more
aware of their gifts and talents and share them for the good of the Church. May they always “Go with God!”
As I write this letter, some of our younger students are completing preparations for their First Holy Communion. By the time you read this letter they will have, God willing, received the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ for the first time on May 1st . Once again, I would like to thank their families, teachers, catechists and our Religious Education staff for preparing them for this special day. My thanks to all of you who have prayed for them as they have prepared to receive our Blessed Lord in the Eucharist for the first time. I pray that their love for Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament
will grow ever stronger as they come to know, love and serve Him throughout their lives.
As we begin the month of May, let’s once again turn to our Blessed Mother. Through her intercession, we pray that all of the children of our parish family come to know and experience the love of God in their lives.
