Today is Palm Sunday. It is the beginning of Holy Week. It is a week that truly changed the world. It is the week in which our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ fulfilled His mission to redeem the world by His Passion, Death and Resurrection.
As we begin this week by celebrating His triumphant entrance into the holy city of Jerusalem, we also know that we are never far from the Holy Cross. Whenever we enter Church and sign ourselves with holy water, we are reminded of the Cross. Whenever we say a prayer of thanksgiving before a meal and bless ourselves, we are reminded of the Cross. Whenever we gaze upon a Crucifix, we are reminded of the price that was paid for our salvation.
As we begin this holiest of weeks in the Church’s liturgical year, may we never forget that Christ has died, Christ has risen and that Christ will come again!
May God bless you and your loved ones with a truly blessed and holy week!
